Welcome to Tarpleytunes.com

Texas has many rich traditions, and music, art and theater are a wonderful part of those traditions. Tarpley Tunes brings some of that to this special part of the Texas Hill Country.

Tarpley Tunes is an outdoor music and theater venue in the Texas tradition of "backyard concerts." Located on Bella Vista Ranch, Tarpley, Texas, it's in the heart of the Hill Country just outside Bandera. Tarpley Tunes is on FM 470, an official scenic route through rolling oak-covered hills and valleys, with working ranches and weekend getaways on either side.

From the gentle hillside overlooking the stage and surrounding hills, it is a place where folks can come and bring their coolers, kids (kids are always free!) and friends. They can enjoy an afternoon or evening clapping their hands to a band playing their favorite tunes, thinking about what a poet or writer might be reading to them, or cheering a scene from a play. And all of this under a great big Texas sky.

We hope that you enjoy your visit and that you have fun! After all, as has been said, "Isn't fun just one of the greatest things to have!"

So how's it work?

Bring your cooler. Bring your friends. Maybe in that order. We have plenty of picnic tables set up on the hillside overlooking the stage and the surrounding hills. Or you can bring a chair or blanket and set it down on the hillside. On cool evenings, watch the show from near the fire pit and on warm days, well, bring a hat.

For supplies, stop by the Williams Creek Depot in Tarpley on your way here (we're just 2½ miles west of the Depot) and stock up on your favorite snacks and drinks. We usually have a Chuck Wagon or BBQ at Tarpley Tunes.
